The following interactive visualisations allow you to explore the number of NDIS participants as at 31 March 2020 at service district level, broken down by where they live, their age, their disability, and the supports in their plans. It is important to note that the average budget shown is not an indication of the amounts utilised by the participants. Also, participants that have exited the scheme are not part of this data.

The metadata document Participant numbers and plan budgets data rules (DOCX 84KB) explains how to understand and use this data and is available on the data downloads page.

These enhancements are a showcase of the level of functionality we are working to provide. We are continuing to work through and enhance the accessibility features of these visualisations to ensure a quality experience for all users. The underlying data behind the enhanced visualisations can also be accessed from the data downloads page or you can use the alternate visualisation.
